The goal for the Jacob McCaslin Trio is to use technology as a canvas for our musical paintbrushes (No cheese will be left un-served). Our cover of the all-time classic Beatles song "Come Together" pulls inspiration from all of our respective musical heroes. Subscribers of my channel will know I have been heavily influenced by the likes of John Mayer, Stevie Wonder, and Bernhoft. Lately I have been exploring the creativity of Australian songwriter/groove-maker extraordinaire, Rai Thistlethwayte.

A quick introduction to the Jacob McCaslin Trio's very own Jonathan Elyashiv: Jon is a bass wunderkind, a staunch Beatles fan, and a true musical purist. Jon's inspiration for bass doesn't come from listening to other bass players in a vacuum; he draws his inspiration from the overarching big picture: "Is what I'm playing serving the music??" Every moment before Jon lays his finger on a string, he asks this question - And that is why he is the best at what he does.

Now introducing: Ross Hodgkinson, or as we like to refer to him, the HODGE. Ross delivers an undeniable groove to every musical home on his paper route. Ross is the most dedicated drummer I've ever played with. Always equipped with a 'can-do' attitude up his sleeve, Ross approaches new ideas with the greatest enthusiasm. It's amazing knowing that you have a M1 Abrams Tank-solid drummer to fall back on if you every trip-up while playing a song, or just trip walking down the street.
